7:30pm Shabbat Eve Service with ...
Brotherhood Father-Child Shabbat. Birthday blessings for all those celebrating birthdays on the month of February. Childcare will be provided dinner will precede the service at 6:15 pm. Transportation available for this Shabbat service; call the synagogue office at (414) 228-7545 to reserve a space in the van.
The evening will begin at 6:15 pm with dinner. The menu will be roasted chicken, noodles with marinara sauce, vegetables, potatoes, salad, fruit and beverages. The cost is $8.00 per person and $6.00 for children 11 and under. The worship service will start at 7:30 pm. A beautiful Oneg, sponsored by Brotherhood, will follow the service. The dinner is open to the entire congregation, although only fathers and children will participate in the service.
Your family can be part of the service in any of the following ways:

- Lead English Prayers
- Torah Blessings
- Carry Torah
- Ushering
- Candle Blessing
- Lead Hebrew Prayers
- Chant Torah Portion
- Gelilah (Dress Torah)
- Kiddush
- Undress Torah
- Hagbah (Lift Torah)
- English Translation of Torah portion
If your family is interested in participating in the service, please contact Neil Hootkin at neilhootkin@catholicknights.org or at 414.332.4953 with the following information: names of father and child(ren), age of child(ren), along with the first and second choice from the above list for each family member taking part in the service.
The deadline for participation in the service is Friday, February 19, 2010. You will be contacted by Temple Brotherhood and informed how each member of your family will take part in the service. Hebrew and English portions will be provided to each participant prior to the service.
If you are interested in attending the dinner, please contact Neil Hootkin at neilhootkin@catholicknights.org or at 414.332.4953 no later than Friday, February 19, 2010 and indicate the number of people from your family attending the dinner. Since money can not be collected on Shabbat, please mail your check to CEEBJ made payable to Temple Brotherhood prior to the service. Be sure to write "Father-Child Shabbat" on the memo portion of the check.
