Israel Trip with Rabbi Berkson Begins
This year in jerusalem! - April 8 through April 21
Join Rabbi Berkson and other members of our congregation as we spend the days from Yom Ha-Shoah (the Day in Commemoration of the Holocaust) to Yom Ha'Atzma'ut (Israel Independence Day) in Israel.
We arrive in Israel on Friday, April 9, and are immediately transported to Jerusalem where we will welcome Shabbat. We will spend the first five nights of the trip staying in Jerusalem, at the David Citadel Hotel, experiencing the sounds and sights of Jerusalem. And we will be in Jerusalem as Yom Ha-Shoah descends. A variety of side trips will be made from Jerusalem until we depart on April 14 for the south. On our way to Eilat we will be stopping at Sdei Boker, the home of the first Prime Minister of Israel, David Ben- Gurion, and experiencing the strange weather-formed canyons of the gigantic Ramon Crater. We will then spend two nights in Eilat which will include a day tour to Petra. From the south we will fly to Tel Aviv and then continue north to the Galilee for three nights at the Ha-Goshrim Kibbutz Guest House. This will give us a chance to tour in the north before we depart for Tel Aviv on April 19. We will be able to celebrate Yom Ha'Atzma'ut (Israel Independence Day) in Tel Aviv before our return home early in the morning of April 21.
The cost of the trip will be $4950 which will include all transportation to and from Milwaukee, all lodging in Israel, porterage, entrance fees to all sights on the itinerary, and, of course, the day trip to Jordan. The $4950 cost is per person based on double occupancy with a single supplement of $1225. Prices are still subject to change.
