The End of my First Year – The Beginning of my Next Year
Well, I have finished my first year as your Brotherhood President. It’s been an interesting year for me. The Board and I have tried to accomplish a number of things this past year:
1. Our golf outing was shared with the Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired Children. We had the outing at a new golf venue and with more golfers than before.
2. Our summer Brewers concession program expanded to three 10-person stands as well as doing a total of 13 dates.
3. The Board elected to donate $25,000 toward the new reception area.
4. The Brotherhood had their first kosher Chinese dinner program at Beth El Ner Tamid in January.
5. We shared several events with the Women of Emanu-El and the BENT Men’s Club.
6. We have an invigorating new slate of Brotherhood Directors for 2009-2010.
7. We provided our normal monthly programs at our temporary home at BENT during this past year.
8. Our combined Brotherhood/WOE Installation on June 26 at BENT.
9. We have provided our Brotherhood members with our agenda and minutes of our meetings by email and posting on the CEEBJ website each month.
I am looking forward to my next year as president with excitement as we move back into our new facility. The Brotherhood is committed to providing even more programming for 2009-2010.
P.S. I am personally looking forward to having the Brotherhood monthly meetings in the new conference room, eating dinners prepared or warmed in our new kitchen.
I hope you all have a wonderful summer. See you in the fall.
