Leil Tikkun Shavuot Study

One of the customs of Shavuot is Leil Tikkun Shavuot, an all-night study session held the night of Shavuot to prepare for receiving the Torah in the morning. Like several of our traditions, this tradition originated in the 16th century with the mystics in Tzfat. Tikkun means “set order” as they created a set order of sacred texts to be studied on that night that included Torah and Talmud. While we will not be exploring that traditional “set order,” nor staying up all night to start our morning service as the sun rises, please join Susan after Kabbalat Torah/Shavuot Evening Services to explore, “Preparing to be One Heart as We Stand Together at Sinai.”
