on “Jewish Work for Global Social Justice”

Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun’s 2019 Scholar-in-Residence program will feature Ruth Messinger, Global Ambassador, American Jewish World Service. The program, “Jewish Work for Global Social Justice,” will be held April 12-14, 2019, at CEEBJ.

Friday, April 12
6:00 pm: Catered Dinner, (Members $18, Non-members $20)
7:30 pm: Shabbat Eve Service, Ruth Messinger will speak: “Jewish Work for Global Social Justice: The “What,” the “Why,” and the “How”

Saturday, April 13
9:00 am: Shabbat Morning Study Minyan text study session featuring Ruth Messinger
10:30 am: Shabbat Morning Service
Noon: Lunch (Members $10, Non-members $12) followed by presentation by Ruth Messinger, “Immigration: A 21st Century Challenge to the World”

Sunday, April 14
9:45 am: Breakfast (Members $5, Non-members $7)
10:15 am: Ruth Messinger will speak on “Genocide 2019: The Plight of the Rohingya in Burma and Other Recent Genocides”
