2021-22/5782 Romemu Registration

Welcome to CEEBJ’s Youth Educational Programs

B’ruchim Haba’im. Welcome. We are thrilled for your family to be a part of our community in the coming year. Our staff is working hard to make this year fun, engaging, socially fulfilling, and meaningful.

For our returning families, you will notice that our Romemu (religious school) registration form has been updated to help us learn what your family defines as most meaningful on your Jewish Journey. For our new families, we look forward to getting to know you and this form will be a stepping stone in that process. Everyone, please use the form below to register for the 2021-22/5782 school year.

We are pleased to announce that with the help of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Coalition for Jewish Learning, Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun will have a position on our faculty entitled Kesher Inclusion Specialist. This role will be fulfilled by Jennifer Saber. The role of the Kesher Inclusion Specialist will be to provide staff support and learner support for learners with special needs so we can better provide differentiated learning and meet the needs of all of our learners.

Besides a strong curriculum in Jewish Holidays, Torah stories, Hebrew and Israel, we will also be integrating Social Emotional, Spiritual Learning into the core curriculum (SESL). We will continue with feelings check-ins, group discussions, and choice in activities/connecting with others with similar interests, classroom/whole school community events and tefilah. Jewish texts and traditions can foster the growth of positive life outcomes and, in turn, be enriched by these outcomes:

  • Developing our understanding of ourselves and our emotions
  • Forging meaningful connections with others
  • Caring about, and contributing to, our local and global communities
  • Achieving a sense of meaning, purpose and transcendence

In addition to completing the Romemu (religious school) registration form below, you will need to complete the Romemu (religious school) Consent & Release form for your child(ren). You will be reminded to do this upon successful submission of the registration form. To view the consent form now, click  here.

What’s different this year is that Romemu will take place in person on Sundays from 9:30 to 11:30 am and for the 3rd  – 6th grade learners, you will be able to choose in person or virtual learning for Wednesdays from 5-6:00 pm. (Timing may adjust slightly). It is shortened to allow for Hebrew tutoring before and after. There is also a tutoring option to see what size group of learners is desired.

If you have any questions about any of our educational programs, please contact Director of Lifelong Learning, Susan Cosden, RJE.
