Virtual Tour of the Judith Lieber Exhibition at Jewish Museum of Florida

The tour will be lead by the Susan Gladstone, Executive Director, Jacqueline Goldstein the Curator and Nancy Doyle Cohen, Manager of The  Jewish Museum Florida - FIU. There will be time for questions and a Show and Tell at the end of the tour.

Judith Leiber: Master Craftsman tells the story of a fearless woman ahead of her time. This exhibition honors the Holocaust survivor-turned-mega-designer’s life, work and legacy and will feature photographs of Leiber alongside a comprehensive selection of Judith Leiber’s bags, belts, pillboxes and glasses, from collectors in Florida as well as from The Leiber Collection.

Susan Gladstone was appointed as the Executive Director for the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU on June 1, 2017. Gladstone brings more than 30 years of executive experience at the national and global levels. Gladstone has served in several prominent leadership positions in the U.S. and abroad, most recently as director of development for the museum and for all of FIU’s Jewish Strategic Initiatives – including the university’s Global Jewish Studies Program, Holocaust Studies and Hillel FIU. Gladstone’s career has led her to excel at the highest levels of expertise in creating and managing multi-million dollar budgets, fundraising, and the cultivation of sponsorships, donors and major gifts. She has a Masters of Social Work from Yeshiva University, and a Bachelors of Social Work from Florida International University. As a lifelong member of the Jewish Community in Miami, and the daughter of a rabbi who championed the importance of acceptance and tolerance.

Jacqueline Goldstein is the curator of the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU. During the course of her almost eight years at the museum she has curated many exhibits including Tennessee Williams: Playwright and Painter, Daniel Chimowitz: Walking Canvases, Preservation and Renewal: Bauhaus Buildings in Tel Aviv, The Art of the Lithograph, Zachary Balber: Tamim, Judith Leiber: Master Craftsman and Judio y Cubano. Several Exhibitions curated have appeared in The New York Times, Ocean Drive Magazine, The Robb Report, Miami ArtZine, 360 Magazine and The Art Newspaper, among others. Jacqueline received her MA in Art History from The City College of New York, CUNY, and was awarded the Connor Travel Grant for research.

Nancy Doyle Cohen manages the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU where she oversees the day-to-day operation of the museum, including programing, marketing and membership. She is the former director of group sales for Broadway Across America at the company’s Fort Lauderdale headquarters. Nancy is experienced in sales, marketing, and promotions and is an avid theatergoer and arts patron. She has a BA in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida and is a lifelong Miami resident.
