Conversion
Gerut - Conversion to Judaism
Gerut is open to anyone who is on a spiritual journey regardless of marital status. However, a non-Jew who is engaged to a Jew and considering conversion to Judaism should consult the rabbi as far in advance of the wedding date as possible because instruction leading to conversion generally requires one year. It should be noted that a person who has been converted to Judaism is a Jew in all respects and is entitled to the privilege of a Jewish marriage.
Studies leading to gerut (conversion to Judaism) on the part of the non-Jewish marriage partner can take place after marriage as well. The rabbi will always be available for support and guidance in all situations. The hope of achieving unity of religion is always present.
