Guest Speaker; Tal Schneider, Speaking about Israel—The Great Social Experiment: Israel’s New, Diverse, Young and Multifarious Government in the Era of Polarized Society

 Tal Schneider, the Political and Diplomatic Correspondent for the Times of Israel, will join CEEBJ on Sunday, December 12, at   4:00 pm to speak on Israel—The Great Social Experiment:  Israel’s New, Diverse, Young and Multifarious Government in the   Era of Polarized Society.  

 Ms. Schneider covers Israel's fierce political arena, including Israel’s unprecedented political crisis and four rounds of the   intense 2019-2021 elections. She is a top Israeli analyst in high demand, a frequent media commentator, writer and speaker   who served as Washington correspondent for Ma’ariv covering the 2004, 2008, 2016, 2020 US election cycles.

 Ms. Schneider is the website's senior features politics writer with over 160,000 followers and serves as the website's point   person for digital and social media platforms. She covers the Israeli political scene, Israeli foreign policy, the U.S.-Israel   relationship, Middle East diplomacy and the Jewish world in her daily beat. Between 2004 and 2009, she served as Maariv’s   Washington, D.C. correspondent.

Previously Ms. Schneider ran an influential political blog for which she was awarded the 2012 Google Digital Excellence in Journalism Award and the 2015 Ometz Award for courage in the public sphere and integrity. Before embarking on her career in journalism, Ms. Schneider, an attorney, worked as a media lawyer in Israel's leading media law firm, where she was responsible for censorship cases, gag orders and libel court litigation. She is a founding member of Israel's Journalism Association, a founding member of Israel Women Reporters Society, and a frequent commentator on Israeli radio and television. She lives in Israel but frequently visits the States, traveling with Israel’s Prime Minister and President.
