Join us on November 10 when we honor our Veterans and all their contribution to  our society. 

The topic will be “Wisconsin Civil War Soldiers With Jewish Heritage.” Our guest speaker Richard Kane is a retired physician who grew up in Shorewood. As a retirement project and because of his interest in the Civil War, he decided to look  for Wisconsin Civil War Soldiers with Jewish heritage.

Dr. Kane’s presentation will be based on 27 such soldiers he has identified so far. So many of the soldiers and their family members have interesting and  sometimes surprising stories to learn about. Two of these soldiers have connections to Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun.

A Q&A session will follow. Be sure to view over 50 biographies of congregants and their family members who have served in the military.
