Sign on with Ha-Kol’s editor, Cary Silverstein, on February 28 at 12:00 o’clock as we Zoom back in time to the chaos in Europe of the late 1930s. We will accompany over ten thousand young Jewish children as they flee the horrors of Nazi Europe and find safety in the English countryside. These children from Germany, France, Austria and other occupied countries were saved from extermination by the vision and efforts of a number of private individuals, religious leaders, and British government officials. Many of these children would never see their families again, and went on to win Nobel Prizes in Physics, and Chemistry. Others would make their mark in business and philanthropy.

One of the children of the Kindertransport was Milwaukee’s own Alfred Bader.
