It Takes a Village: The Kehillot of Israel
Since ancient times the Jewish people have been referred to as "am Yisrael" - the people of Israel. The emphasis has always been placed on the community the Jewish people create for themselves regardless of where they have settled, their kehilla (social connectedness and community). Israel is where many kehilot (plural of kehillah, communities) have developed over time, both Jewish and non-Jewish. We will travel throughout Israel to get to know some of the lesser known Kehilot of Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel). We will visit the holiest sites of the Bahai Faith, get to know the secrets of the Druze Religion, explore the ancient traditions of the Samaritans and many more! Enjoy a trip to Israel from the comfort of your home. If you have never joined us before, there is no time like the present (no need to have attended previous trips)!

Coming up: The final tiyul of the season will be on May 11 at 7:00 pm. The theme will be: The Four corners of Chesed. This will be a tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. (Yom Yerushalayim takes place on Monday, May 10.)
