Rosh Hashanah Eve Seder with Catered Home Meal

A seder for Rosh Hashanah? Yes! As Rabbi Berkson notes in his message on page one, “Our celebration may not be in the normal order and with the normal customs.” So, we are adapting a custom from Sephardic and Mizrahi communities (Jews originally from Spain, Portugal, North Africa, and the Middle East), to share a seder meal on the first night of Rosh Hashanah. Also called seder yehi ratzon (may it be God’s will), we ask God to provide us with abundance, strength, health, and peace in the year ahead. We will all sit around our tables with our seder meal, our symbolic foods, a few items from our CEEBJ High Holy Day kits, our computers, Ipads, Phones, and join together as a CEEBJ family.

The evening will also include some familiar songs and prayers, along with stories, discussions, and tableside conversations one of which will be led by Michael Grinker.

Click here to order your Seder meals.  Curbside pickup and delivery – part of CEEBJ’s New Year Welcome Drive-Thru  - will be Thursday, September 17· 4:30 – 7:30 P.M.
